The Oregon Wellness Program (OWP) ensures licensed CNAs, LPNs, and RNs, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners (NPs and APRNs), podiatrists, LAcs, dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists, and DPMs within the state of Oregon have access to mental health support that is non-reported, urgently available, and complimentary.
OWP contracts with seasoned mental health professionals to provide:
- Up to eight complimentary sessions per Client per calendar year
- In-person and telehealth appointments
- Scheduling within three (3) business days of a request, when possible
- Care without a “paper trail.” NO reporting to insurance or professional boards

Tell your preferred provider you are scheduling an appointment through the OWP to ensure priority scheduling and to receive your complimentary sessions.
How it Works
Who can receive counseling and services through the OWP?
Oregon licensed CNAs, LPNs, and RNs, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners (NPs and APRNs), podiatrists, LAcs, dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists, and DPMs are all eligible for complimentary services through the OWP.
When will other Oregon health care professionals be eligible to participate?
We hope to offer OWP services to more health care professionals in the future. Program expansion is dependent upon additional funding and partnerships.
Do I pay for my counseling or coaching sessions through OWP?
Counseling clients are entitled to eight complimentary sessions per calendar year through the OWP. Be sure to tell your preferred provider you are scheduling an appointment through the Oregon Wellness Program to ensure priority scheduling and to receive your complimentary sessions.
Mental health providers are paid for their services with funding OWP receives from donors such as medical societies in several areas of Oregon, as well as from health systems and other organizations.
Coaching sessions are not covered by the Oregon Wellness Program, these coaches have been vetted by OWP as experts in their field. Please contact these coaches directly to discuss their approach, availability, and rates.
If I like working with my provider, can I continue beyond the eight sessions?
Yes. If you choose to continue beyond the eight counseling sessions per calendar year, you and your provider will coordinate payment outside of OWP. You may request or end care with a provider at your discretion.
