Julie’s focus is on addressing the effects of stress, conflict, anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders on all areas of life, including work and relationships.
She also has experience addressing substance use/abuse issues, insomnia, health issues, and chronic pain in the setting of private practice. She has experience working closely with physicians and nurses and in treating medical professionals.
Julie is a licensed psychologist and is available for telehealth visits as a private practitioner in the Portland area.
Julie completed her doctorate in clinical health psychology at Ohio State University where she worked with patients who had heart disease, lung diseases, traumatic brain injury and who were candidates for solid organ transplant.
During her time at the Portland VA Medical Center, she worked with the liver transplant team, the substance abuse treatment program, the Hepatitis C Resource Center, and the chronic pain team. She has served as President of the Oregon Psychological Association and chaired the Public Education Committee (Oregon Psychological Association).
